For Reviewers

Peer reviewers are central to the integrity of IoI Press publications. Here's how to review with us — and how we recognize your contribution.

Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewers are asked to assess manuscripts for originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope. Reviews should be constructive, specific and returned within the agreed timeframe — typically two to three weeks, coordinated with the editorial office.

  • Evaluate the manuscript on its scientific and scholarly merit alone.
  • Provide clear, actionable comments to help authors improve their work.
  • Flag any suspected ethical concerns (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission) to the handling editor immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript throughout and after the review process.

Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest — financial, institutional or personal — before accepting a review invitation. Manuscripts under review must not be shared, discussed, or used for the reviewer's own research advantage. Reviewers are expected to review objectively, respectfully, and without discrimination on the basis of gender, nationality, religion or institutional affiliation.

Reviewer Recognition

IoI Press values the time reviewers contribute. Reviewers may receive an annual acknowledgement listing, a formal certificate of recognition, and — for sustained contribution — consideration for editorial board roles.
